Gregory Leech - Bateman

My name is Gregory Leech, and I am your local Liberal Democrat for Bateman.

I am a self-employed small-business owner, and a committed local resident, with a history as a member of Fremantle Volunteer Sea Rescue, and a passion for our coastal way of life.

Bateman is a beautiful place in which to live, close to the beach and the many amenities of Fremantle, but if we want it to remain that way, and to have the space we need to nurture and grow our families, then we need to ensure that local people take a hand in its future direction. That is why, if elected to represent you, I am committed to:

  • Build Roe 8 to encourage local jobs, and get heavy vehicles off our local streets
  • Support the retention of wharf-based jobs and facilities in Fremantle by delaying any Outer Harbour build beyond the lifetime of the next parliament
  • Slashing the amount of government red tape that stifles our small business community
  • Putting local power back into local hands with a root-and-branch review of Local Government across the state
  • Boost the local economy by streamlining payroll tax to creating jobs and opportunities for our young people
  • Reintroducing strong local input into large-scale planning applications

With the right people, driving the right agenda, Bateman can grow and flourish, while at the same time remaining a place you can be happy and proud to call home.

If you want to help me ensure that is the case, you can sign up to my campaign by completing the form on this page.
